This July I acquired a pain in my hip flexor-groin area. I have been attending PT 1-2 times a week since and we haven’t been able to remedy it. I tried a 2 mile run as prescribed which felt ok until I went down a small hill. It hurts more now that I have stopped and cooled down. Perplexed.
I want to like running, I want to do running. My body won’t let me. Last Fall I was on a role doing a 5K consistently. Had a good summer playing Ultimate until the last couple of weeks of the season (beginning of August) and tendinitis has been lingering in my right hip flexor since then. It’s still lingering after Ortho and 2+ months of PT. I have been given the go ahead to try it out. Now if the daylight and weather will cooperate, I am golden!
I am grateful for my fair-weather, healthy body hobbies. I want to explore those winter, hurt body hobbies.
Had a nice afternoon of going to PT, making dinner and zucchini bread.
Need to find winter hobbies!! Crochet/knit…try again!?
For the past month and a half, I’ve been having hip pain. It came up before our culminating ultimate tournament in early August. I’ve been going to PT for the last three weeks… went to the chiropractor today and got a new lift in my shoes and new orthotics too! My hip is already feeling better. Healthcare is strange and disconnected…too bad for insurance companies. Grateful for affordable cost to me!!!
I am grateful for medical professionals. Most recently Physical Therapists. I recently had some knee pain and went to PT last week. Just used a foam roller and massage on my IT band (which hurt like hell) but was able to trot 2 miles with no pain (but questionable friction in knee). Let’s go me!!
