Day 88: 365 Grateful, reminiscing
While on the phone with my dad this afternoon, he reminded me that a UCONN Women’s Basketball tournament game was taking place this evening. It has been great to follow their legacy since the mid 90’s (now I feel old) during the 94-95 season when I was 14-15 years old. I still have my binder of newspaper clippings. Though I didn’t attend UCONN, I feel much pride for the school and the surrounding area! Ps, they won!
Day 87: 365 Grateful, Friday Night In
I am grateful to be able to have a nice relaxing Friday night in with Mike. Made turkey chili had some wine and watched Moonrise Kingdom.
Day 86: 365 Grateful, Red River Theatres
I am grateful to have a local independent theater close to us: Red River Theatres in Concord. Mike recently joined the board and we got to see a screening of The Grand Budapest Hotel…Wes Anderson continues to be interesting!!
Day 85: 365 Grateful, excited Mike
Mike has been waiting all week for his (our) Pax East passes to arrive. Today’s the day! Should be fun…Mike looks forward to this event each year!
Day 84, 365 Grateful, custom
I am grateful to get custom made items. Over the past 2 years I have treated my 12mm left leg length difference with orthotics. I have finally added a lift (and new soles) to my Chacos. Happy with the work United Shoe Repair did for me!!
Day 83: 365 Grateful, getting through the week
It is not often that I count down the hours or the minutes of my work day.
This week I feel myself counting down to Friday to finally be able to enjoy some personal time off with Mike!
Super excited and grateful to have a time out from our typical routine!
Day 82, 365 Grateful, parents
I am grateful for all the hard work parents do everyday. Throughout the weekend I was with 2 different groups of 1-4 year olds. It was awesome to observe the amount of love, teaching and expectations all of the parents had on a moment to moment basis. Amazing amount of effort and selflessness!
Day 81: 365 Grateful, safe
I am grateful to have been safe while driving.
Sometime I need to remind myself while in traffic to be patient especially when there has been an accident. Being safe and getting help to people who need it is much more important than me reaching my destination 30 minutes later.
Day 80: 365 Grateful, tortellini
I am grateful for tortellini. We don’t think to have it often…but really what is better than pasta with built in cheese! Mike had the idea to do tortellini soup tonight!!
